Ticketmedia is a leading provider of transport tickets and pre-printed till rolls, having global recognition as a leading authority on ticket advertising.

Having been left vulnerable to Ransomware and severely let down by their previous IT provider, Ticketmedia was looking for a new IT partner with a fresh thinking and modern-day approach. LMS Group were recommended to Ticketmedia by a mutual contact, as all faith had been lost in the incumbent provider.
Following a covert survey of the entire network and cyber security controls within the company, LMS Group presented a proposal to overcome the issues that were being faced:
• Each user had two PCs, because a DOS based system was still used across the company. This application would not run natively on Windows 10
• Network and system downtime were frequent occurrences, causing disruption having a negative impact on production output
• Access to email was poor due to insufficient internet connectivity and a neglected on-premise Exchange server
• There was no standardisation across the entire provision of IT services and support
Ticketmedia needed a partner with a mature and technically skilled service desk and project team to deliver a standardised and efficient end-user experience.

The LMS Group Approach
By utilising a blend of up-to-date technologies such as Microsoft Azure, Microsoft Hyper-V and Cisco Meraki, LMS Group were able to present a complete turn-key solution as part of a complete IT overhaul. The biggest challenge presented was that the new IT infrastructure, hardware and systems migrations had to happen between the Christmas and New Year shutdown period; this was not only to minimise the impact on production, the key driver in this period being chosen was because the overhaul had to be carried out without the existing IT providers knowledge.
The project was vast, involving everything from the introduction of new Ethernet internet connectivity, a complete Office 365 migration of 4 separate tenancies, replacement of network switches, WiFi and multiple routers along with the upgrade of all PCs, Laptops and Servers.
There were many immediate benefits and efficiency drivers, along with the introduction of enhanced Security Controls. However, one of the biggest benefits is that users can now operate a single device and have remote access to the centralised DOS application which is held in a secured virtualised environment.
We also provide a full on-going outsourced service desk with emergency out-of-hours cover from 5:30 pm and during standard office hours at weekends and bank holidays.
Ticketmedia and LMS Group have been successfully working together since 2016. Thanks to a consolidated IT infrastructure, users can now easily collaborate with work and information across the entire network, regardless of business-line, allowing for collaboration across projects.
